November 2016
From our Home to yours,
Our 2015 Christmas photo was going to be the perfect family photo. In my Mom fantasy life. (Other Mom's understand this life.) No black eyes, scraped knees, ripped tights or bloody noses. No whining, crying or complaining.
I realized we were all wearing gray t-shirts under our sweaters and shirts so I had a great idea to have our pictures taken in them. I see a lot of photos where the families are all coordinated and “in-sync”. Matt went along with it because it was the path of least resistance and he was tired. Dan and Amanda were not particularly amused. I had to get out my “Mom voice”, which just caused laughter, unruliness and snarky remarks. By the time we realized Dan and Amanda were dressed alike down to the shoes and socks they were completely unmanageable. The pictures tell the rest of the story. Too bad we could not squeeze all of the photos onto the card. It was pretty darn funny. Our goal next year is for all of Matt's head to be in the Christmas card photo. (Unfortunately this happens in a lot of our photos.)
At least we have a good time together and enjoy each others company. It just doesn't get any better than that!
Peace to you,
J
